Federal prosecutors on Monday tried to take a hoard of silver “Liberty Dollars” worth about $7 million that authorities say was invented by an Indiana man to compete with U.S. currency.

Gold Prices Back Off Highs as Silver Moves Higher

satterthwaite2 Gold for April delivery was losing $1.90 to $1,424.50 an ounce at the Comex division of the New York Mercantile Exchange. The gold price has traded as high $1,432.30 and as low as $1,419.50. The spot gold price was down $2.80, according to Kitco’s gold index.
